HTML5 VS. FLASH

Ok, so basically what I absorbed from these 4 articles was that Adobe and Apple got into it and Apple made a financial decision based on what they thought was best for the company. Apple chose to lock Adobe (Flash) out of their new found success with IPods, IPhones & IPads. It's like dangling bright and shiny car keys in front of a teenager that's too young to drive.

It seems too me, that Apple and Adobe are old friends and have had a "you scratch my back...I'll scratch yours" relationship.  I don't understand why Apple would put that relationship in jeopardy just to make a buck......OH, yeah I do, because that's how companies grow, by making money:)  Anyway, then Apple took back the lockout and made their products once again Flash-friendly.  How ridiculous!

I don't know what is better HTML5 or Flash, they both have their faults. HTML5 is free (costs nothing) and open (non propriety) and Flash is not free and closed (owned by Adobe).  HTML5 is not supported YET by everyone and Flash isn't always a UPC hog.  I'm curious to see if there will be a winner of the game or if the two similar yet different players will run along, holding hands, side by side.

I found this article.....the scores are interesting. Seems to me that it all just depends on the computer and web browser being used.

A Little Inspiration

I'm excited about everything web!  I wasn't expecting to learn how to build a website from scratch in this class, but now I am stoked because this is what I want to specialize in.  It all sounds a little bit confusing now, but I think I will get the hang of it soon!  I'm planning on getting everything I can out of this class and am just so ready to learn about it all!
